WAYNE - Local musicians take heed, the first Music Mash-up fundraiser was such a big success that organizer and founder Brian Jones was approached to do another one, so get your instruments tuned up as he's looking for bands, age 10 to 21, to take part.
The Music Mash-up is a series of performances earmarked for raising funds for various organizations while bolstering young talent around Wayne Township waiting for their chance to be heard. And with the arts always on the cutting block, the Music Mash-up is a win-win for all involved.

Wayne's Good Vibrations Auditioning Locals for Annual Music Mash-Up

Brain Jones, a local musician and owner and operator of Good Vibrations Music Studios in Wayne, NJ, is holding another Music Mashup on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey.
This Music Mashup will benefit The Hole in Wall Gang Camp. As with past events, this benefit concert will also give local musicians a place to perform in a professional, but relaxed setting. The Hole in Wall Gang Camp was founded in 1988 by Paul Newman with one simple premise in mind, that every child, no matter their illness, could experience the transformational spirit and friendships that go hand in hand with Camp. All proceeds from this event will be donated to The Hole in Wall Gang Camp.

“It gives me great pleasure to continue to support the arts in Wayne by holding these events. I’m grateful that DePaul Catholic is working with us on this event and has donated the use of their gymnasium,” Jones said.

Local youth will not only be performing at this event, they will also be helping out with the planning and execution of the concert.

Joseph Tweed, President of DePaul Catholic said, “I’m pleased to be part of this event. Helping the young people in our community develop their artist talents and spirit of volunteerism while learning production and organization skills lines up nicely with our mission at DePaul Catholic.”

Jones has held a number of successful Music MashUps in the past and is currently auditioning acts for the April performance.  If you are interested in performing or helping out with the event, please send Brian an email at [email protected].

Tickets will available at the door or in advance through a $10 donation to Team Hole in the Wall.
