Having recently retired, I was looking for a hobby to have fun, keep my mind sharp, and be socially active. I had loved music all my life and decided it was time for music lessons. I was so lucky to have found Brian over at Good Vibrations!

I'm not as nimble as I once was so I appreciate Brian's patience and most importantly his encouragement!! He helped me pick out and purchase my guitar without spending alot of money. Big plus!

Brian is a Rock Star on every level!! Brian teaches a methodology and pattern for learning any song you want. He is fun to work with, extremely knowledgeable, open to ideas such as creating bands and recordings, small benefit concerts and fundraisers. Brians recording studio is equipped to produce professionally recorded music. This allowed me to enjoy hearing my own written songs, my voice, my guitar in a professionally finished recording! Wow....very cool! You really don’t know what you’re capable of until you try it!!

My son took guitar lessons at Good Vibrations for several years. He suffered a brain injury 10 years ago and lost much of his ability to play. Brian had so much patience and understanding and I highly recommend him especially in terms of those experiencing a handicap.

I cannot express how grateful I am for Brian and his wonderful music lessons!! His teaching style is unique, fun, and catered to his students' preferences. After just a few sessions, I was already playing chords and songs using the techniques that he taught me. I was his first student ever back when I was a kid, and more than 15 years later I still apply the lessons I learned with him. He teaches more than just "how to play an instrument," but how to think, act, and listen like a true musician. His service is unlike any other I've encountered. Working with Brian has been a joy and I could not recommend him enough!!!

I cannot recommend Brian enough as a teacher and mentor. I thought I had hit a plateau in my playing and writing, but through Brian I’ve been able to improve in a wide variety of ways.

Brian has been an excellent teacher, with a holistic and flexible approach that has helped me grow in many directions. Through him, I’ve met other musicians, wrote and produced songs in his studio, found an opportunity to play live, and built the confidence to write songs and share them at local open mics.

He listens to his students and lets them guide the direction of the sessions, while always looking for additional resources to help along the way. For example, my lessons began as guitar lessons but have now covered playing other instruments (bass, drums), songwriting and developing my own songwriting process, and music production.

Brian is a very patient and kind individual. He spent lots of time teaching my daughter Michelle how to play the drums. He would even sit at his drum set and let her put her hands on top of his while he did the correct positioning. The reason he did this is because my daughter is totally blind and also on the spectrum. Brian was amazing with her, doing whatever was necessary to help guide her, often repeating a sequence many times until she understood it. I feel he went above and beyond in teaching Michelle and would highly recommend Brian to anyone looking for a music teacher.

Brian is an excellent teacher: fun, very knowledgeable on multiple instruments and adaptable to the style of the learner (and the situation when covid hit!) He not only taught my son some great drumming, but they also worked on producing electronic music together and explored many areas of interest. Brian is generous with his time and with sharing the benefit of all his considerable musical experience.

I have known Brian Jones for more then 10 years. I also know several of his clients/students. He is know for his professionalism and breath on knowledge as a teacher, musician and recording engineer as well as his song writing experience. His unique teaching style provides students with opportunities not typically associated with general music classes such as interaction with other students in band style settings as well as instrumentation and recording. I have been a musician , recording engineer and instrument service technician for more that 40 years and can say with confidence that Brian provides one of the best learning environments I've encountered.
